Mark's Armstrong-Tanner Line
UPDATED 4.28.14
My brother Tom has researched the Tanner Family on my mother's side for many years, but this line is new to me, so I'm excited to get involved with it. At first glance, it looks something like this, but THIS IS WRONG!
Please note that Cynthia Armstrong Tanner no longer appears to be the daughter of Joseph Armstrong, JR., as I have looked at his original will. Also, I have inquired with a genealogist of the descendants of Amos Armstrong and Martha Patty Doty, of Mercer Co., PA, and they will not claim Cynthia, either. Back to the drawing board!

How exciting to see John Armstrong died in FiveMileTown as that is also the roots
of much of my wife's (William's) Armstrong Family!
8.5.13 I just received some fresh info. from my brother Tom:
" I do not know the lineage of Joseph Armstrong who died in Crawford County in 1852. However, tracing the pedigree of his wife, Sarah A. Daniels is relatively easy. If one goes to the Find-A-Grave page for Brawley Cemetery, Crawford Co., PA, and look at Miriam Perry Daniels, it clearly shows that she was the mother of Sarah A. One source has indicated that Sarah's father, John was married to one Hannah (unknown), However, the same Find-A-Grave shows Hannah Thurston was actually the wife of John Daniels, Jr., the brother of Sarah A. John, Sr. is the son of Abraham Daniels, 1710-1752, and Abigail Hannah Whitney, b. 1714. I have started entering info into Family Search when I have time."
