We all have sweet memories of Aunty!
I like this photo because it looks like she's having a good time sipping her cupa, surrounded by family.

In addition to updating about a dozen pages this last week, we added a dozen names to our Name Index. we also added several completely new pages including this one. We all have sweet memories of Aunty! I like this photo because it looks like she's having a good time sipping her cupa, surrounded by family. It's been just over a month since this year's RootsTech rocked Salt Lake City! If you're like me, I wanted to go but had just too much going on to get there. Well' here's your chance to catch what you missed. Watch Now! There are 19 videos for your viewing pleasure. I would encourage you to take at least a few minutes to review the great selection of topics presented by Family History & Genealogy experts from around the world. There has to be at least a couple subjects here that will peak your interest...! Life is full of Family History Moments. You don't always know it at the time, so you may have to go back & record your experiences later. Here's a few tips to help you: 1.) Start with an object that may jog your memories, perhaps a photo or a keepsake from the event. 2.)Write down brief notes about what you remember: a.) What was the event? (Birthday, Wedding, Funeral, Reunion, Holiday?) b.) Where was the event held (town/city?) c.) What year was it (How old do you think you were?) d.) Who else was there (Family, Friends, Neighbors)? e.) What happened at the event? (Guest speakers, activities, food, dance?) f.) Is there anything you wish you had said or done differently? f.) How did all this make you feel then? How does it make you feel today? 3.) Contact someone else who was there and ask them questions about details you may have forgotten. 4.) Organize your notes into a story format and add descriptions of sounds, smells, tastes, & other emotions or sensations from the event. Congratulations, you've successfully recorded your memory! Check out 8 new photo images from the front cover of the 2010 Marupo Reunion Booklet! I've never seen these before so I thank those responsible for making them possible; They are priceless gems! If you have additional photos of these whanau, we'd love to hear from you! This photo is Angie's mother's mother, Pititi Marupo. I think it looks just like her mother.
